Project Management Industry Standards
Project Management Institute (PMI®) – PMI® is the premier professional association for the project management profession. PMI creates and maintains standards for project and program management and provides certification credentials for project management practitioners.
A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) – Pro4ia’s 5-Step Project Path is aligned with this PMI standard, which is currently in its 3rd edition. This guide serves as a framework for the best practices in the profession.
Project Management Professional (PMP®) - This credential is the standard for the Project Management Profession. Requirements to attain and maintain this credential are:
- Demonstration of extensive knowledge in the profession of project management coupled with several years of effective project management experience.
- Commitment to a strict code of ethics as prescribed by PMI.
- Commitment to a discipline of continuous education in the project management profession in to ensure growth as a professional and gain an understanding of emerging best practices, tools & techniques.
The PMP credential recently earned ISO 17024 accreditation from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
